It was meant to be Prince Charles’ first major step towards taking over the royal throne – the historic moment he took the place of the Queen to lay a wreath during London’s Remembrance Day service.

For the first time in her 65-year reign, the Queen looked on as her eldest son carried out the sacred duty in honour of fallen soldiers, marking a ‘new era’ for the royal family.
