Survivor Tells: ‘I Was Shot In The Face While Pregnant

Pregnant teen Naomi Rosado was counting down the weeks to when she would meet her baby boy, but instead of excitedly preparing for the arrival, she was left battling for her life.

She was five months pregnant when her boyfriend, and the father of her unborn child, Charles Tenpenny, turned on her … and put a bullet through Naomi’s face.

But the brave girl lived to tell the story of her survival.

“When I found out I was pregnant, Charles told me to get rid of the baby,” Naomi, 18, exclusively tells New Idea. “But I refused – there was no way I could even think about it.

“He shot me and left me to die hoping his baby would die too.” Naomi first met Charles in November 2017, when she moved in with him. At the time, she was going through a rough patch with her mum, Robyn, and needed some time away from their home in Clearwater, Florida, US.

At first, they were just housemates, but Charles quickly made his move on Naomi.

“He would ply me with booze so he could have his way with me,” Naomi recalls with a shudder. “Sometimes he could be very kind but truly, he was a nasty piece of work.”
