Ritu Varma has been waiting for the right opportunity that would showcase her histrionics and she hit the jackpot with `Pellichoopulu’ the latest superhit Telugu movie that has taken everybody by surprise. In a peppy and fun chat, she tells Southscope that’s she’s ready for bigger challenges.

The Sunshine Girl

Ritu Varma appears supremely confident of herself. And why not? She played Chitra, an independent girl in the most talked about super hit Telugu film ‘Pellichoopulu’. It’s a character that seems tailor made for the new-age actor. “Actually, I’m little like that in real life too (smiles), very independent and a typical Piscean. I’m creative and imaginative as well. I’m a happy-go-lucky girl, who likes being around positive people and spending a lot of time with family & friends,” she reveals.

Prod her how’s she handling the super success of ‘Pellichoopulu’ and she describes, “Life is very different now because I never expected this sort of a response for the film. I’m overwhelmed! My mobile has been ringing incessantly; people have been calling me to appreciate the film and my performance. Big stars are endorsing the film! All this is new to me and people started seeing me differently and are recognising my talent. It is amazing and this is first big hit in my career and I’m extremely happy and proud. The best part being people of all ages saw the film and appreciated it. I want to thank the audience.”
