Having glass also makes it a fingerprint magnet. Overall, we reckon Honor 9 Lite is the best looking phone in the market right now in this price segment.Powering the phone is its own homegrown Kirin 659 octa-core processor and option of 3GB or 4GB of RAM. We tested the 4GB variant and found the performance at par with other competitive devices in the price range. The phone runs Honor&rsquo;s customised EMUI 8, which is based on the latest Android 8 Oreo update. The overall operation is smooth and fluid with the display outputting sharper text and good colours. The 5.65-inch display has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Full HD+ resolution (2160x1080) along with an option to adjust the colour temperature, enable/disable blue light filter and change screen resolution to HD+ (1440x720) to save power.There&rsquo;s 3000mAh battery and in our use, it gave us about a day&rsquo;s worth of battery life with mixed use of social media, web surfing and some videos. Internal storage is either 32GB or 64GB but the hybrid SIM/microSD slot enables to expand the storage by an additional 256GB.The Honor 9 Lite features four cameras and boasts a similar camera setup for the front and back. It&rsquo;s 13+2MP and offers decent picture quality, good enough to share on social media. The phone features lots of picture enhancement features like the bokeh mode for both front and back, beauty mode based on gender, wide aperture mode, etc. On the video side, the back camera is capable of recording in Full HD resolution whereas the front to up to HD.As we mentioned at the start, Honor 9 Lite has stiff competition from other good devices but what sets the Honor offering apart is the great looks, good overall performance and running the customised OS based on the latest Android Oreo.
