Detroit: Become Human is a third-person, over-the-shoulder free camera game that puts the player in the Android&rsquo;s shoes to decide the fate of these machines.Set in a radical representation of its titular city, the story chronicles the overlapping tale of the three protagonists - Kara, Markus, and Connor. Kara is an abused housekeeping android and surrogate mother, while Markus is the former nurse of a celebrated artist in Detroit. But perhaps the most advanced prototype of them all is detective Connor, a bot created for the sole purpose of tracking down &lsquo;deviant&rsquo; Androids.This is a narrative-driven game that plays out more like a movie than a typical game. Simply put, it&rsquo;s a game that&rsquo;s interspersed with stories that act as a way to drive the plot forward. The fact remains, we were gripped right from the get-go; the gameplay was fun and we thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn the story took. However, what we did notice at the onset was that jumping between the backstory of each character made for an incoherent start, but with continuous progress through the game, the narrative eventually ties in together nicely. But what we loved most about this game is that a good part of the story is controlled by the player; every decision you make shapes the outcome of the story and intertwines beautifully in the larger scheme of things. The game also offers multiple ways to approach a particular situation, giving a player an incentive to replay the game with a different outcome.Sony exclusive games score high when it comes to visual appeal and Detroit: Become Human is no different. In fact, it&rsquo;s one of the best looking games we&rsquo;ve played so far on the PlayStation 4 platform. Detroit looks detailed but it&rsquo;s the character design that makes the game stand apart. The heroes and even the NPCs look polished and almost real. Add to that some excellent voice acting and you&rsquo;ve got yourself an exciting gaming weekend to look forward to.All said and done, Detroit: Become Human is not your average game. It&rsquo;s a movie-like experience that puts you in the director&rsquo;s seat.
