LG’s top-of-the-line smartphone means serious performance, powerful audio
Just like Samsung’s Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, LG too pushes out two flagship devices now under its G Series and V Series. LG recently announced a new addition to its V series the V30+, which we try to find out this month to see if it has got enough to take on the competition.
DESIGN
Over the years, LG has iterated its smartphone design to make it practical and V30+ is a good example. You won’t find a curved screen like in Samsung phones but the V30+ brings in thinner bezels, larger display and a phone that’s comfortable to hold and use. The V30+ is dominated by the glass that takes the whole front, thanks to the FullVision display along with the back, for aesthetics that looks nice but is a fingerprint magnet. If we compare the phone with its predecessor, the V30+ is 8mm shorter and 3mm narrower. It’s 7.3mm in thickness and weighs 158g, making it one of the lightest phones with a display size of 6-inches and over.
The fingerprint scanner position remains unchanged, which is at the back and it doubles up as a home/power button, volume keys are on the left-hand side, a hybrid SIM slot on the right and the USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom and top respectively.
