FIX UP, LOOK SHARP
What's On Dubai|June 2020
From overgrown manes to outgrown manis, it’s safe to say quarantine hasn’t been kind to us, aesthetically speaking. Thankfully though, we can now groom again, albeit in a socially-distanced manner. Here’s our pick of the salons and barbershops offering a safe space in which to glow-up
FIX UP, LOOK SHARP

FOR THE LADIES

Chalk

Known for its cool, creative cuts and artistic approach, Chalk’s salon is now buzzing again – from a safe social distance. Staff promise to maintain distance during all services, and only single-use textiles and tools are being used throughout consultations, while all surfaces are cleaned down fully between clients to ensure customer and staff safety at all times.

Chalk, Warehouse 63, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz, Dubai. Tel: (04) 3466284. Taxi: Alserkel Avenue. chalk.ae

Beauty Garden

JLT’s Beauty Garden has always put a strong focus on customer safety, and never more so than now, says founder Alla Samoylenko. “We are diligent with following all the precautionary measures as instructed by the government and ready to share it to raise awareness,” she says. The salon, which focusses on treatments using natural, cruelty-free products, is also now offering home services.
