The actor opens up with us in a hearty chat about his journey so far and his plans for the future with Zeba Khan.

Coming from a background that is not even remotely connected to Bollywood or Television, how did you land the idea of working in these fields?

I was always interested in entertainment. Even during my school days, I used to actively participate in plays and drama. I always had an inclination towards the field of entertainment and that has got me here in Mumbai. My father is a CA, but I never wanted to get into office work. I was interested doing plays, singing, being a part of bands etc.

When did you realize your creative instinct?

I think I realised it on the day I was born! With my parents’ constant support, I kept honing my skills of entertaining people. One day, I mustered the courage to tell my father that I wanted to go to Mumbai and become an actor. Thankfully, my family was really supportive and I landed in the city of dreams in 2005. God has been really kind, here we are and that’s how things are.

Share your earliest memory of performing on stage.

Like I said, I was always into dramatics and the extra curricular activities at school;my school management and teachers always encouraged me. When I decided to come to Mumbai, I didn’t know anybody but god and the audience have been really kind to me in my intially days. In Mumbai, I kick started my journey as an RJ , then for sometime I did Television. I did two serials and after that I started hosting. Since then, thankfully, there was no looking back!

We have seen you on different mediums and portraying different roles. What do you enjoy doing the most?
