Biegel back with a new perspective

Instead of playing linebacker for the Miami Dolphins last season, Vince Biegel spent Sundays with his leg propped up and daughter on his knee.

It wasn’t easy, but Biegel was able to gain a new perspective on football as he recovered from a torn Achilles he suffered in training camp.

Biegel is back with the Dolphins and he is savoring every moment.

“Man, it definitely feels great to be back,” Biegel said. “For me honestly, I’m just thankful and blessed to be able to get back, be out there with my teammates and being able to be back with the Dolphins organization. I guess the word that comes to my mind is just blessed and thankful. It’s been nice to be able to come out here and get back to my craft, knock off that rust, get going with the guys again and be able to contribute to this team.”

Miami also has high expectations for Biegel, who was acquired from the New Orleans Saints for fellow linebacker Kiko Alonso in 2019.

From the time Biegel arrived in Miami, he endeared himself to head coach Brian Flores because of his energy and all-out style.

During the rebuilding 2019 season, Biegel emerged as one of the few pass-rushing threats for the defense and one of his highlights was sacking Tom Brady.
