THE M8 COUPÉ ACCORDING TO ME is one of the finest Coupé’s that India has ever got. With elegant designs, interior and exterior, the M8 is an aggressive car in both in looks and performance. According to me, it’s one of the richest cars when it comes to the design element of it. The aerodynamics, performance and the practicality of the car are the characteristics worth noticing.
The ground clearance of the car is spot on. It is even higher and more practical for Indian roads compared to the 7 Series sedan from the BMW bandwagon itself. The carmaker has done a fantastic job with the ground clearance which is definitely a boon on Indian roads. The M8 looks and feels like it is low slung which is an engineering and design aspect but when it comes to the obvious fact of wiping roads with the side-skirts and touching the underbelly over the bumps, the M8 does not do so. Not very often though, rather it rarely does that. Even on the road breakers it is pretty high enough to manage to pass over them without discomfort.
The M8 Coupé is powered by a massive 4.4 litre V8 engine that develops maximum power of 600PS at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 750Nm which is spread over a wide range starting at 1800rpm and going all the way upto 5600rpm. Top speed of the car is electronically limited to 250kmph and it can lift its skirts and run a marathon to the ton in 3.3 seconds flat. It’s surely a performance that’s not meant for the faint hearted.
