Hi, Steven, congrats on Okja. How did you explain this film to your mates?

I guess you have to start with the fact that it’s a story about a girl and her pig and the adventure she goes on. That’s a very simple way to intro it. And then I just usually tend to not tell anybody anything. A friend of mine came to a screening in L.A. and had literally zero knowledge of anything, not even the premise of the movie. When he sat down he started putting pieces together like, “Oh, snow pigs are cool.” I was like, “Oh, OK.” And then the entire way through the film he was just jaw to the floor and constantly surprised because nothing went the way that he thought it was going to go.

Australian actor Daniel Henshall is a co-star in this movie. Did he teach you any Aussie lingo during the filming?
