Take charge of your day and incorporate these changes to make lethargy a thing of the past.
By now we all know that the midday slump is real, and that it ruins not only one’s peace of mind, but also all-around performance. Sometimes this fatigue is more long lasting, and that’s when action needs to be taken. It’s a fastpaced world and you have to keep up with it, which is why we’ve sought the help of trained professionals who share their tips and tricks to battle exhaustion. These tweaks will not only help you re-energise yourself, they’ll actually enhance your workouts, and put you on the path to becoming your best and least tired self.
EXERCISEPlanning a balanced and effective workout is the easy part, the problem is actually getting down to it. Sailendra Rane, director of RESET: Holistic Living Concept’s Fitness Division, suggests certain forms of exercise that not only reduce stress, but also invigorate you by increasing blood flow, which consequently elevates energy levels. The endorphin-induced runner’s high is what he has in mind when he suggests running as one of the most effective ways to do away with lethargy.
Boxing is another hot tip, and it’s becoming more and more popular these days—just take a look at any fitness enthusiast’s Instagram page! Channel your inner Rocky, and absorb both the physical and mental benefits of a bag and gloves. “Boxing effectively works your anaerobic and aerobic system. And, it allows you to hit things, which is a complete tension reliever,” says Rane.
Honestly, just getting yourself to move for 15-20 minutes a day is a jumpstart to jumpstarting yourself.
