Blocking Tight End Proves Fifth-round Selection In Sprinkle

Sprinkle can block and catch at a position where the Redskins have a dynamic playmaker in Jordan Reed who struggles to block. Washington also has Vernon Davis, who is more of a pass-catcher than a blocker and Niles Paul who is a mix of both, but has missed 24-of-the-last-32 games the Redskins have played.

Derek Carrier and Wes Saxton are also still under contract at tight end, but it is hard to fathom either making the 53-man roster.
