The Pokemon series has always been a divisive title for Nintendo, with millions sold the series has proven to be quite the commercial hit. However, fans of the series have been clamoring for a big change in the series and with Pokemon Legends: Arceus they might finally have their wish. The very first ever Pokemon game to feature an open-world design, Arceus looks to bring the biggest shake-up the series has ever seen. Set long before any of the series entries to date, you’ll be exploring Sinnoh in a unique adventure to create the region’s first Pokedex. Catching Pokemon will be as simple as throwing a Pokeball at them whilst creeping towards them out in the open, which will seamlessly enter you into a battle. Previews have been promising and even though there is a lot of hate for the visuals online, Arceus promises to be the most exciting entry in the Pokemon series to date.
Dying Light 2
Seven years after the original was released to critical and commercial success, Techland finally brings its open-world parkour zombie-killing followup to consoles. Expanding on what made the original such a beloved game, Dying Light 2 promises a better open-world design, a better story with a branching narrative, big improvements to combat, and of course a massive upgrade to the visuals. Expect the same first-person action and parkour traversal that made the first game so unique, but refined to deliver even more pants-soiling moments as the zombies are even more terrifying this time around. Dying Light 2 is everything you could hope for in one, beautifully apocalyptic package.
