GREAT PODCASTS YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO RIGHT NOW!
FOR THE Audiophile

With podcasts being bigger than ever in 2022 and a certain controversial podcast making all the headlines for the wrong reasons, you might be considering expanding your podcast repertoire. Fortunately, there is no shortage of amazing podcasts covering almost every single conceivable topic known to man and luckily for you, we have updated our 2021 list with some new amazing podcasts you should listen to right now.

The Last Days of August

Jon Ronson is a celebrated journalist, author, and filmmaker and is often described as a gonzo journalist tackling tough topics. His podcast The Last Days of August is a wonderful exploration of the collision between tech and porn industry and the untimely death of porn performer August Ames. Ronson masterfully crafts the journey of this sad and shocking tale. It's not an easy listen due to the content, but Ronson finds a way to draw the listener in and truly captivate from start to finish. It's less of a true-crime podcast and more a journalistic piece, The Last Days of August is a wonderful and thought-provoking podcast that will stick with you for a very long time.

The Always Sunny Podcast

The wonderful comedy sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was a surprise hit when it first aired in 2005, featuring five toxically co-dependent and selfishly motivated friends running a decrepit Irish bar in Philadelphia. It's considered a dark comedy by many and is as hilarious as it is disturbing. The three creators and writers Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, and Glenn Howerton sit down to discuss the origin of each episode, exposing their bizarre friendship and thought process of creating the show. Unlike other podcasts of the same ilk, one can truly experience the friendship these three have and their sometimes bizarre true-life anecdotes will have you laughing out loud. An essential listen for fans of the show.
