Let's talk about your childhood growing up in Quebec. What was life like at that point?
I grew up in a family of three boys, and I am the youngest of three brothers. I grew up in the suburbs of the west side of Montreal, in a very bilingual family. My mom's side was English, and my dad's side was all French, so I kind of learned both languages as I grew up. That's sometimes rare in Montreal, you're either French or English, but I was in between both. I had a great childhood; my parents are still together and we had a great time because they were super fun. We did a lot of trips together, but I grew up in a household that was a little bit of a lower income family when I was really young. My dad was a truck driver, but eventually he started his own company and did better, so we became more middle class by the time I was a teenager. I had a wonderful upbringing though. I had great parents who loved me and awesome brothers who are two and three years older than me. We were all tight, and all into the same things. Skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, playing music... we just loved life.
Would you say that you were a musical family then?
