Matt Heafy tracked the first M piece of music for his then-secret black metal side project back in 2011. It's something that he had wanted to make a reality since watching Emperor's 'Emperial Live Ceremony' at the age of 15. Though initially set to be under an alias because, "elite black metal kids, like who I used to be, would never accept the guy from Trivium making that kind of music', it's been something that, over the last decade, he has carefully crafted piece by piece when the time felt right. A painstakingly patient process, you would say, but one that has reaped massive rewards in the long run.
