Album I fell in love with…

“My mum’s partner had the Queen greatest hits compilation album as one of a few that were constantly on rotation in his car, so I would hear those songs a lot when he drove me to sports practice on weekends. I remember freaking out because it was unlike any other music I’d heard before, but the first real album I fell in love with was ‘The Black Parade’ by My Chemical Romance. When I was twelve years old, I was captivated by the overall feeling and vibe of the record, but as I’ve gotten older and listened back, I’ve noticed things within the production that I never paid attention to when I was a kid. You listen back to that album and to me, it’s constantly a reference point for an unbelievably well-produced album. It’s just phenomenal. Everything is 10 out of 10, from the guitar tones and hooks to the songwriting. I know the lyrics back-to-back and could sing all the stuff in my sleep. I think it’s a guilty pleasure, and it might catch a few fans and people that I know off guard, but it’s undeniable.”
