One of the major challenges include the debt of Rs 85,234Cr. When Raghubar Das took over the government in 2014, the state already had a debt of Rs 37,593 Cr which was drastically increased during his government. His governance took more than the total loans drawn by all the governments in 14 years before 2014. Now, the Jharkhand government currently has a debt of Rs 85,234 Cr. In this situation, Hemant Soren has the challenges to reduce this debt.
Moreover, the farmers in the state also have a debt of over Rs 6,000 Cr who are expecting a relief from the new government. Getting these farmers out of debt is a huge challenge for Hemant.
