HAVING parachuted into a Peterborough set-up hellbent on attacking their way to promotion, Jack Taylor has landed firmly on his feet.
The half-million-pound midfielder, whose total fee to National League Barnet could rise as high as £1m, was recruited by Posh in January and immediately thrown into the fray with impressive results.
That window presented manager Darren Ferguson the opportunity to bring in a player to shake up a side then four games without a league win and, after a draw and defeat in Taylor’s first two matches, six straight victories and 20 goals soon flowed.
That’s not to say the turnaround is all down to Taylor. Posh hit four goals in four of those wins and the 21-year-old believes the team’s ability to share the goals is key – the likes of Mo Eisa, Siriki Dembele and, of course, the prolific Ivan Toney all doing plenty of damage.
Confident
“Even though our winning run ended at Fleetwood a couple of weeks ago, we’re confident because we’ve got so many goals in the team,” said Taylor, a Republic of Ireland U21 international whose older brother Harry, 22, also plays for Barnet.
