Kevin Nolan agreed his Notts County side got out of jail against Forest Green Rovers as an injury-time equaliser from Rob Milsom preserved their unbeaten home record.
Milsom struck in the 96th minute to secure a draw against the League Two strugglers who had threatened an almighty shock in front of a crowd of more than 13,000 at Meadow Lane.
Omar Bugiel had put Mark Cooper’s side ahead in the 30th minute as the visitors chased their first win in the league since August.
But their resistance was finally broken by Milsom’s header and Magpies boss Nolan was a relieved man.
“It was a disappointing performance but at least we got a point,” he said. “That sums it up perfectly, and there was also a feeling of relief.
“The lads persevered and got their rewards in the end. It was a well-worked goal, but we didn’t turn up.
“Forest Green can certainly go away from the game feeling hard done by.
