Midfielder Lacey, who is coming to the end of his recovery from an ACL injury sustained against AFC Telford United last December, is set to make his professional fight debut on a VIP Boxing promotion at Liverpool’s Olympia Arena.
The 28-year-old, who hopes to be playing National League North football again in about six to eight weeks, is positive about his dual sporting career.
“The knee injury was a massive setback, but my training has been going well, and hopefully I can be playing for Chester again in the near future,” he said.
