PETERBOROUGH SPORTS kept the pressure up on the top two as boss Jimmy Dean paid tribute to their hosts for getting the game on in the face of Storm Dennis.

The Turbines ran out 3-0 winners and for Dean that was down to the Boro – who he accepts were unlucky to lose by a three-goal margin.

“Listen, before anything else is said, we need to talk about Nuneaton,” Dean said. “We are in good nick right now, so many teams would have cried this game off or taken the easy way out.

“Nuneaton, to their credit, worked so, so hard, to get it on and they deserve a lot of praise for that.

“They played well and I think the 3-0 scoreline does not tell the story of the game. For me, it was just that we took our chances when they came along.”
