Strevens said: “The result is the result but it is the disappointment of missing out on the play-offs which we’ve worked hard for all season.
“To realise if we’d have won here today we’d have been all right is not a good feeling. It’s not just about today – we’ve been on a fantastic run but not getting those vital few extra points over the course of the season means we’ve just not done it.
“The one thing I’m proud of is that I’ve not furloughed any players and kept the lads together from start to finish.
