GIANT puppets of a young Queen and her corgis will parade through London as part of a Platinum Jubilee People's Pageant.

Members of the public can apply to join the carnival wearing styles of the past seven decades for the celebrations of Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne.

A huge helium balloon bearing the monarch's image, with an aerial artist suspended from it, is another highlight of the extravaganza on June 5, the last day of the four-day Bank Holiday party.

A vast 3D wire bust of the Queen and a wedding cake blasting out Bollywood hits will join the parade on a two-mile route ending along the Mall to Buckingham Palace.

Sources have hinted at an appearance by members of the Royal Family on the Palace balcony for the finale. It opens up the possibility of Prince Harry and wife Meghan attending amid rumours of their involvement.

Pageant chief Rosanna Machado said: “We are liaising with the Royal Household about involving all members of the Royal Family."

Singer Ed Sheeran will lead the finale, with appearances from national treasures whose names will be gradually unveiled in coming weeks.

Ed said: "I'm proud to be part of Che celebration, it's a great opporunity to bring everyone together.”
