AN ANTI-SMOKING charity has slammed the BBC for glorifying smoking in new drama series The Serpent.
The main characters in the international thriller chain-smoke throughout, prompting viewers to comment it makes the habit look “sexy and cool”.
And the boss of campaign group Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) said: “Watching The Serpent won’t turn someone into a serial killer, but it will encourage them to smoke.”
