Castle Solar Plan Gets Green Light

Green heritage bosses have won their battle to install solar panels on Edinburgh Castle to make it more eco-friendly.

Castle managers at Historic Environment Scotland (HES) moved to have panels placed on the Scottish National War Memorial building after revealing the attraction generates as much carbon as 350 UK homes a year.
