Jurgen Klopp showered praise on his Liverpool side for delivering the ‘mission impossible’ of Champions League football again.

And he cheekily claimed it is a marriage made in heaven by suggesting Europe’s elite tourney is far better with The Reds in it.

The Anfield boss admitted he was emotional at the end of a victory over Palace which not only delivered that all-important place at football’s top table, but an unlikely third place in a fractured, injury-hit campaign.

Klopp, whose side won thanks to Sadio Mane’s double, said: “It is incredible, impossible. If somebody had told me five or six weeks ago we’d do this, I would have laughed and said it was impossible.
