A Gangster has been “slashed and battered with a pool cue” in a violent jail attack at HMP Shotts.
James “Jasper” McCann was set upon at the maximum security facility on Tuesday, prison sources claim.
It is understood the 50-year-old suffered head injuries.
A source said: “Jasper came to Shotts at the start of the week and said he was there ‘ to do’ anyone connected to the Lyons family. He was attacked within 48 hours of arriving.”
A second source told the Record that McCann had originally been locked up at Glasgow’s HMP Barlinnie.
