Scots Children Facing Mental Health Crisis

SCOTLAND is facing a children’s mental health crisis with more than 2000 young people waiting more than a year for treatment.

The number has almost tripled in a year – with the Covid pandemic adding to an already huge waiting list problem within the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

Scottish Labour branded the figures “a scandal” and said it was time the government “stopped failing the young people of Scotland”.
