Sean Everitt last night vowed to fight to keep Blair Kinghorn at Edinburgh after the Scotland fullback was linked with a move to France.
Challenge Cup holders Toulon are reported to be confident of signing the 26-year-old, whose deal runs out at the end of the season.
Everitt knows Edinburgh will have to pay top dollar to keep Kinghorn, but fears Toulon could try to buy out the player’s contract rather than wait until the summer.
He said: “We’d love to keep Blair. I’ve said before that he’s a man with immense talent.
“His contract is up at the end of the season, but hopefully we can renew it.
