Manchester United edged out Aston Villa with a 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Friday evening. Goals from Anthony Martial and a Bruno Fernandes penalty ensured they bagged the three points.

It was another impressive performance from Solskjaer’s side, who are now level on points with Liverpool at the top of the table.

He won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the Champions League during his playing days at United.

And former Villa, Everton, and Scotland striker Gray insists the Norwegian has to prove he is also the real deal as a manager.

“If you’re a United fan, you’ve got to look if they’re any better than under Jose Mourinho,” he said.
