Drivers flock to ‘magic’ traffic junction

SWINDON A ROUND ABOUT TOURIST HIT

DRIVERS from across the globe are visiting Swindon – to ride its “Magic Roundabout”.

The tricky traffic junction, which was constructed in the Wiltshire town in 1972, has five mini-roundabouts arranged in a circle.

And people are coming from far and wide to negotiate the bizarre system, nicknamed after the popular children’s TV series that ran on the BBC from 1965 to 1977, inset.
