NHS medics are set to test a radical new procedure which blocks blood supply to the top of the stomach.
Lead surgeon Ahmed R Ahmed said: You could go in hungry and come out not hungry.
The 40-minute op can be done in a lunch break with local anaesthetic and stops overeating by switching off the ghrelin hormone.
