Britain’s triumphant Team GB is set to be rebranded “UK” in a bid to boost the Union.
PM Boris Johnson has been in discussions about ditching the existing Olympic squad moniker which some in Government feel unfairly excludes Northern Ireland.
The move comes days after Team GB finished an impressive fourth in the league table at the Tokyo Games – equalling its 65 medals haul from the 2012 London Olympics.
