LES Dennis says Ricky Gervais helped get him out of a rut after his marriage to Amanda Holden fell apart.

The comic, 68, who was dubbed “Les Miserable” after the 2002 split, said he learned how to be “the best getaway driver in London” to flee the spotlight.

He said: “It was crazy. I would open my curtains and there would be six cars parked outside.

“I felt like I’d murdered somebody.”
