New pop sensation Tate McRae is worried about turning 18 next month – because she hates birthday parties.
The Canadian behind No3 hit You Broke Me First admits she’s less nervous doing gigs to huge crowds than being at shindigs.
Tate, whose big day is on July 1, told me: “I usually hate birthdays, as I hate when the attention is all on me. As an artist, I know that’s ironic.
“I find it easier to be o stage singing to thousands of people.
“At a birthday, you know everyone around you and it makes the attention a lot more intense.
