THREE women and a man were found stabbed to death in their family home early today.
Neighbours described waking up to a “bloodbath” and “scenes of carnage” in Bermondsey, south-east London. Police were called to reports of a disturbance at a three-bedroom terrace house in Delaford Road at about 1.40am. Officers attended, forced entry and discovered four people suffering what were believed to be stab injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a south London police station. It is thought that all five were known to each other. This morning, four crime scene tents covered the victims in the street, where they had been given first aid.
A pensioner, whose house overlooks the scene, said: “There were loads of police and paramedics working on the victims outside. It looked like a bloodbath — a scene of carnage.
