Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has issued a circular on schools reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A 21-page circular states that full tuition fee will apply to all students, regardless of the mode of attendance and reopening model followed by the schools in Abu Dhabi. ADEK highlighted the guidelines for parents for sending their children to schools.
ADEK said, “Schools will not be able to reduce bus fees despite the possible reduction in the number of days attended physically in school due to the capacity utilisation reduction of buses (50% of capacity).
However, ADEK said if some parents are facing financial constraints, they must reach out to the school’s principal for support.
His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), has ordered that certain commercial activities that were especially hit by the lockdown and other precautionary measures enacted to curb the spread of COVID-19 will benefit from reduced trade licence renewal fees and full exemption from fines incurred during the lockdown.
