1 In 5 Virus Patients Had Over 12 Weeks Of Symptoms

UP to 20% of those infected with coronavirus developed Long Covid with fatigue and respiratory symptoms lasting longer than 12 weeks, HSE chiefs revealed.

The Oireachtas health committee heard patients wait an average of five months to see a specialist.

The panel also heard when they do eventually get into one of only six Long Covid clinics in the country, there is no cure, no "definitive treatment".
