1,300 Covid Cases Highest In A Year

COVID patient numbers have topped 1,300 and are at their highest level in a year as the HSE boss urged the public for extra vigilance.

With 49 people receiving treatment in intensive care units, Paul Reid warned yesterday “we are still dealing with a highly transmissible virus”.

He said people should “make their own judgment on masks” but urged people to wear the coverings in shops, on public transport, and in nursing homes.
