€26M Media Park's 3,600 Jobs Boost

A massive jobs boost is on the way after a council sold 48 acres of land to develop Ireland’s first media park.

Up to 1,500 construction posts could be created at Dublin’s Grange Castle, the sale of which will swell the coffers of South Dublin County Council by €26million.

Another 1,800 direct jobs will be supported when the park – supporting film, TV and digital content production – is finished.

The council voted unanimously in favour of the €26.4million deal on Monday, which will see Lens Media acquire the land.
