Irish quiz maestro Darragh Ennis has admitted he is not always as brilliant as he appears on TV show The Chase.
The 40-year-old Dubliner says he often gets beaten by people far more knowledgeable than himself.
Darragh stars in a new season of Beat The Chasers, an off-shoot series of the hit show running all this week from tonight.
He said: “I work quite hard at studying and learning things I’m weak at but temperament is probably more important.
“I’m in a lot of quiz leagues and quiz competitions and I am in no way the best person.
“I get beaten very regularly by people who are better quizzers than me.
