CHEAP flights to sunny holiday destinations will become a thing of the past in a bid to save the planet, Minister for Climate and Transport Eamon Ryan has said.
The Green party leader was speaking about Ireland's climate Action plan and the need to meet ambitious targets.
He said in order to halve emissions in transport, people will also need to do a lot less travelling.
Mr Ryan added he doesn’t expect people to be able to buy bargain flights for €10 in the future.
And he said he was working with the European Council on the issue.
