Stardust campaigner Christine dies aged 81

A MOTHER who fought for almost 40 years for answers on how her daughters died in the Stardust tragedy has passed away.

Christine Keegan’s teenage girls Mary, 19, and 16-year-old Martina were killed alongside 46 others in the horrific North Dublin fire on Valentine’s night in 1981.

The brave mother and her daughter Antoinette have been at the forefront of the campaign for the families of those who died in the disaster to find out what caused the fire, which was initially ruled as “probably arson”.
