Family tell of the special bond between mum and tragic Noah

Noah Donohoe will forever be remembered as his mummy’s world.

In a statement issued by his family last night, they paid thanks to those who have helped them over the past seven days.

The St Malachy’s College pupil was last seen on June 21 and a missing person appeal sparked a huge response.

The Donohoe family said they needed to express their “heartfelt gratitude for the support, the outpouring of love and empathy” they received.

They added: “From walking with us, both physically and spiritually, to feeling our pain, we recognize everyone has lost Noah.

“Noah’s mummy always told him he would change the world.

“He was very special. It is very hard to do justice or honor the extraordinary relationship Noah and his mummy shared.

“In his 14 years his mummy got so much from their special bond, he taught his mummy so much.

“They were each other’s world. Noah loved his school and his friends at school and they will be grieving and need to say goodbye too.

“Eventually we will come back to people individually to express our overwhelming gratitude.

“From Fiona and the entire family circle, we wish to say thank you to each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts.

“The details of Noah’s funeral are to follow and we will share those when they are arranged.”

Noah’s tragic fate has brought tears to those who hoped he would be found safe.
