We Can't Keep Missing Derry Good Chances

Chrissy McKaigue says Derry have to strike a balance to accelerate their development playing Division Two football next year.

But short term, the Oak Leaf skipper believes that if his side don’t start converting their chances, they’ll be made to pay for it in the Ulster Championship quarterfinal encounter with Donegal or Down.

Rory Gallagher’s side left three or four goals behind them in last weekend’s Division Three final victory over Offaly at Croke Park.

Derry also missed two clear-cut goal chances in the first half of the promotion play-off win over Limerick.

McKaigue says the Oak Leaf camp are frustrated at the missed opportunities.
