Ireland Hit By Some Of Toughest Covid Lockdowns In World

Ireland has one of the strictest lockdowns throughout the world, shock new data has revealed.

We are one of just seven countries facing the most stringent restrictions, according to a respected university tracker.

NPHET has imposed measures which are tougher than any in Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, Canada and most of Africa, the research shows.

Ireland is seventh out of 186 nations measured for lockdown severity.

The only other counties with similar limits on citizens are Eritrea, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Honduras and Argentina.
