Did AAP Govt's Delay In Applying Centre's Norms Prove Costly?

The national Capital’s Covidcases have crossed 30,000,the pandemic has cost Delhi heavy with close to a thou-sand deaths. Is the Delhipaying this price due to a delayed response by the Kejriwal government to the Centre’s directions? Documents accessed by India Today TV reveal that Delhi is paying a heavy price for the delayed response to Centre’s guidelines by the Kejriwal govt.

On March 28, Union Health Secretary Priti Sudan had sent an advisory to states to set up maximum possible dedicated Covid hospitals. But Delhi govt’s response was lacklustre. It notified its five hospitals for Covid treatment on March 31, but took a month to declare two government and three private dedicated Covid hospitals. It was only by April 30, LNJP and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute plus three other private hospitals were declared dedicated for Covid. While as late as May 29, two more government hospitals - Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital & Satyavadi Raja Harishchand Hospital were added to this list.
