Javelin Thrower Returns Home

Javelin thrower Vipin Kasana endured a difficult last season when series of injury forced him out of all major events in the year while managing to hurl personal best of 82.51metre in Czech Republic in just four appearances in 2019.

The javelin thrower was in South Africa earlier this year with coach Uwe Hohn and athletes such as Shivpal Singh and Annu Rani were also in attendance.

However, a fit-again Vipin couldn’t build upon a strong pre-season as COVID-19 put a break on everything; forcing an immediate return to India hours before the March 22 lockdown. Coincidentally he also missed on an opportunity to participate in his first competitive appearance since August in Potchefstroom after the event was called off at the last minute on March 17.
